Work Together, Apart….A Message From Sift’s CEO, Larry Angeli

Like many of you, we’ve been inspired by the work of those on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. The doctors, nurses, government employees, grocery store workers, delivery folks etc — incredible people doing their jobs in the most difficult of circumstances. For those of us in the software industry — it’s challenging to identify ways to see how our work could help the cause. In addition to safety and social distancing guidelines, for most of us, the best way to help is to ensure we stay productive and deliver value to our companies...from home!

In that light, we were gratified to hear from many of our customers that Sift has been invaluable during this time by helping them stay connected to their colleagues. One person after another told us how Sift has enabled them to transition to a home office setting by making it easier to find someone’s contact information, or learn something about the person that they were about to meet over video conference. As we heard more of these stories, we think we may have found a way to help—by giving our software to businesses for free. We’ve called it “Work Together, Apart” and beginning today you can use Sift’s modern workplace directory software at no charge for up to 6 months. During this extended trial, there are no limitations on the number of employees that can use Sift — in fact, it's better when your entire workforce knows that they can find anyone in the company with just a few keystrokes.

I’m really proud of how the Sift team pulled this program together in such a short amount of time. We hope it helps you and your teams stay connected during the months ahead. If you are interested in learning more, here is the link. If you fill out the brief form on the landing page, we’ll reach out to answer any questions you may have and help you get started.

Also this week, we’re excited to announce the release of our new data report called “How Modern Companies Connect”. Across thousands of users, we’ve seen some interesting patterns in how people are connecting. This study is an analysis of six months of usage data from over 130 companies using the Sift people directory. I’s a trove of great information on how people are using people directories to improve productivity. You can access it here.
